Nothing but the truth (book review)

At first, I raised a quizzical eyebrow when I first received this book in English class and found out that I was going to have read it for a grade. I mean, it was book that my class was assigned and usually, they're boring, but this one was different. It was actually interesting and I enjoyed reading it. So I read this book in less than a day (very short book), and I had to restrain myself from reading this in between my classes, I couldn't wait to read what happened next. The book is formatted in this diary/dialogue format. Its based off the true story of a boy named Philip Molloy (Philip Malloy in the book). He hates his English teacher, Miss Narwin and after he's transferred to her homeroom class, he tries to get switched back to his original class by annoying her and singing along to the "Star Spangled Banner" that's played ever morning on the intercom. After doing this about 3 times, Narwin kicks him out and the Assistant Principal gives him a choice to apologize for Narwin or get suspended for 2 days, and Malloy refuses to apologize...and well you'll have to see what happens next but I promise you, there's a lot more chaos and you won't put this book down.

Definition of Magnificent

Mariah Carey's "Daydream" album, I can honestly say is her best! Truly a work of art. It has a bit of everything. Urban, gospel, pop, and a string of classic ballads like "One sweet day" (ft. Boyz 2 men), "Forever", "When I saw you", and "Daydream." This album showcases the power and strength in her voice but it also gives you a sweeter side to Mariah's voice ("Underneath the starts", "Always be my baby") I reccomend this album for those who don't know much about the classic MiMi. Those who only know her hits like "Touch my body" or "Obsessed". (Real Mimi fans should have this album already) Get this. This has the real stuff on it! This album is a masterpiece! A must have! 5/5!

These boots are made for stalking (Book review)

The newest and latest book from the #1 Best-selling times series, The Clique, "These boots are made for stalking" picks right up from the last book, Boys R Us. It's around Halloween and the Pretty Committee are stronger than ever (crushes and all). But Massie seems to be up to her old ways, convincing the PC that they need to "upgrade" Meaning: dump their 8th grade crushes and start choosing more mature 9th grade crushes. The rest of the PC seem to be in tow, but Claire tries to do everything in her might to stop this from happening, even if this means Meanwhile, Massie in love (x10) with her newest crush Landon but she finds him hanging out with a new mysterious girl and Massie goes to extreme to find out who she is (oh and kick her out of Landons life)!

I'm was very excited to get this. Honestly, I didn't even know there was a new Clique book until my mom bought it for me so of course I read it speedy fast. I love this book guys and all Clique fans who have the whole collection, you need to get this book to catch up. Although I was kind of disappointed that there wasn't a lot of Alicia, Kristen or Dylan, there was a A LOT more Layne, Bean and Bark Obama (which is good too I guess). BUY BUY BUY this book. (New Clique fans, start from the begining)

When the black girl sings.

This is a really good book. I'd spend my lunch break going to the library to try to finish reading it, this book was so good. The book is about a girl named Lahni. She's a black girl adopted by two white parents, she goes to a pretty much all white, all girl private school and she doesn't know too much about her culture or herself. Drama swirls around her life as a mysterious boy keeps following her and her parent's relationship keeps drifting apart. But Lahni finds a bit of determination and happiness as tries out for a singing competition, joins a church choir and receives training to strengthen her voice for the competition, and with an already great voice, she discovers there's an even more beautiful voice deep down inside of her.
